I often get asked what I do for a living. When I tell people that just retired from the beauty industry I usually get puzzled and confused look. This is probably because I am a 57 year old man, but it turns out there is lots of room for us in this industry.
I was a computer programmer for a cosmetics company for 15 years which has given me an interesting and unique perspective into the scientific world of beauty. The beauty industry is constantly evolving and growing as is technology. You may be surprised to read the words “scientific” and “beauty” in the same sentence, but the reality is all things beauty related require science.
This blog will be informative of the science behind the beauty industry and raw data to support it. Although you will find posts about computer programming as a career as well as on a more broad scale, I will mostly focus on plastic surgery, modeling, cosmetics, and computer enhancements models and computer algorithms. I have become very familiar with these topics through my many years of hard work, I hope you enjoy the insight I can provide.
